Appellate Body report adopted Back to top DS58: United States — Import prohibition of certain shrimp and shrimp products At its meeting on 22 November, the DSB adopted the Appellate Body's report which upholds the panel findings that the measure applied by the United States is justified because it does not constitute arbitrary or unjustifiable discrimination as long as the ongoing serious, good faith efforts to reach a multilateral agreement for the protection and conservation of sea turtles remain satisfied. The DSB adopted the Appellate Body's report which concluded that Mexico's revised determination imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of HFCS from the United States is inconsistent with the Anti-Dumping Agreement. DS192: United States — Transitional safeguard measure on combed cotton yarn from Pakistan The US notified the DSB that effective 9 November there are no more limits on the import of this product from Pakistan. DS177:
United States — Safeguard Measures on Imports of Fresh, The US reported that on 14 November it completed the necessary legal steps to implement the decision to end safeguard measures on imports of lamb meat. The EC read a statement raising some comments on the Award of the Arbitrators in the dispute (DS160/ARB25/1), and asked for information from the United States about the status of implementation of the DSB recommendations in this dispute. A special meeting of the DSB will take place on 5 December and the next regular meeting will be 18 December. |
