WTO TRAINING COURSES

Online chat between Pascal Lamy and representatives of developing Members and Observers

Director-General Pascal Lamy, on 12 October 2006, held an online chat with representatives from developing countries. The 196 government officials participating in a course on the WTO, organized by the Institute for Training and Technical Co-operation on its eTraining website, were invited to attend.

Subjects discussed included various issues of interest to developing countries, such as on-going negotiations, agriculture and subsidies, aid for trade, technical assistance, development, special and differential treatment, erosion of preferences,  regional agreements and accession process  for least-developed and developing countries.
