WTO TRAINING COURSES

WTO organizes two e-training courses for developing-country officials

Two online introduction courses, in French and Spanish respectively, on the WTO and its Basic Principles will be organized in parallel on the eTraining website for government officials from developing countries from 23 October to 1 December 2006.

Two online introduction courses on the WTO and its Basic Principles will be organized in parallel on the eTraining website for government officials from developing countries from 23 October to 1 December 2006 (six weeks):

  • The 9th Introduction Course will be held in French for 62 participants
  • The 10th Introduction Course will be held in Spanish for 121 participants.

The objective of the courses is to familiarize participants with the World Trade Organization, the multilateral trading system and its legal framework.

The courses will be monitored through the Internet by experts from the WTO. Participants will have online access to the course material, support documents, a virtual library. The course will also include use of forum discussion, internal email system, an online helpdesk . Chat sessions will be organized on a regular basis between participants and a chat guest from the WTO Secretariat or other institutions.
