The type of concerns raised ranged across issues such as draft Dutch and Belgian laws on trade in seal products; pollution control policies for electronic information products in China; country of origin labelling in the United States; draft composition standards for cheese in Canada; labelling of snack foods in Thailand; and an EC regulation dealing with the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH).

Delegations also discussed two upcoming events:

• the WTO TBT Committee's Fifth Special Meeting on Procedures for Information Exchange (8-9 November 2007); and,

• a WTO TBT Workshop on Good Regulatory Practice (18-19 March 2008)

The next regular meeting of the TBT Committee will be held on 9 November 2007.
