It was very hard to select the winning entries from the 70 poems received. We were captivated by the participants' imagination, lyrical creativity and humour. Entries were submitted by aspiring poets of all ages the youngest just ten years old and the oldest 75.
Poems were received from 27 countries: Ukraine, Viet Nam, Italy, Tunisia, Australia, Paraguay, Guatemala, Canada, Austria, Saint Lucia, Ghana, Brazil, Switzerland, Burkina Faso, France, India, Argentina, Nicaragua, the United States, Sweden, Kenya, Belgium, Norway, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Peru and Côte d'Ivoire.

In the French language category, the winner is Hyacinthe Zouzou Bi You from Côte d'Ivoire for her Arbre à Palabres. A special mention was given to both Pablo Gauduchon from Switzerland for Le bouleau du fond de mon jardin and Jean-Philippe Girard from France for Ce monde qui se cherche.

In the English language category, the winner is James Maringwa from Saint Lucia for Working Together as One. Vicensia Fuko from Sweden was awarded a special mention for A Bouquet.

In the Spanish language category, the winner is Marlen Iveth Flores López from Guatemala for El Comercio. A special mention was given to Veronica del Carmen Mendoza Vega from Nicaragua for Deseos Tercermundistas.
