A donation of NOK 15,000,000 (CHF 2,200,000) per year will be allocated to the Doha Development Agenda Global Trust Fund (DDAGTF) to ensure that developing and least-developed countries participate effectively in the Doha round of trade negotiations.

In addition, NOK 650,000 (CHF 95,200) will be given to the Trade Facilitation National Needs Assessment and NOK 1,000,000 (CHF 146,500) to the Trade Facilitation Trust Fund - Window I. The objective of these funds is to ease the movement of goods and services across the borders of developing and least-developed countries.

Another NOK 1,500,000 (CHF 220,000) will be offered to the Standards and Trade Development Facility to help developing countries improve their expertise and capacity to analyse and implement international standards on food safety and animal and plant health.

“The WTO welcomes Norway's support in areas that are key to protecting the trade interests and development needs of the world’s poorest countries,” WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo said.

H.E. Mr Morten Høglund, State Secretary of Norway, stated that “Norway supports the work of the WTO. Development remains at the heart of this organization, and its targeted technical assistance is important in order for developing member countries to benefit from their WTO rights.”
