LDCS' Trade Policy Review (TPR) follow-up Workshops

Starting in 2015, the China Programme also funds the participation of experts from the WTO Secretariat in workshops hosted by LDC members, which are subject to a Trade Policy Review.

These workshops will be aimed at further disseminating the results of the Trade Policy Review, participating in discussions with stakeholders on the need to undertake appropriate trade and policy reforms, contributing to the domestic debate on how to address shortcomings that the TPR exercise may have highlighted, and identifying the trade-related technical assistance and capacity-building needs, with a view to further integrating their trade policies into their overall development strategies.

 

Who is in charge?

The Trade Policy Review Division in the WTO Secretariat, in close coordination with China, manages the implementation of this particular pillar of the China Programme.
