Background
The symposium explored issues at the intersection of trade and
climate change. WTO officials briefed participants on current
negotiations and policy issues, including an overview of the trade and
climate change debate, perspectives on intellectual property law and
policy in relation to climate change issues, and an update on WTO
negotiations on trade in environmental goods and technologies. The event
raised issues of interest to a wide cross-section of policymakers, analysts,
NGOs, negotiators and others in the climate change policy community.
Venue
The symposium was held at the Faculty of Law of the University of
Copenhagen (Studiegaarden, Annex A and B, Studiestraede 6, DK-1455
Copenhagen K).
