Purpose

— To conduct a review of the operation of the ITA over the past decade with the increased participation of developing countries;

— To provide an overview of the status quo or the dynamics of the IT sector, taking into account the latest developments in technological convergence and the impact of globalisation; and

— To highlight the prospects for and challenges to further expansion of trade in ITA products with a view to ensuring the original objective of the ITA is maintained.
