The WTO Secretariat also cooperates with a range of other intergovernmental organizations on intellectual property issues, where appropriate. These include (links open the organizations’ websites in a new window):

• UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)

• Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

• Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

• UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)

• International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV)

• World Bank

• World Health Organization

The cooperation includes participating in these organizations’ meetings as an observer, working together on technical assistance (particularly with the WHO on matters related to TRIPS and public health) and other help that staff in the organizations give to each other.
