Intensive course on trade negotiations skills

The course contributes directly to the objectives of the Doha Development Agenda by improving, deepening and enhancing participants' understanding of the negotiations, more particularly the 2004 July package and decisions contained in the Hong Kong Ministerial Declaration.

The course encompasses all the stages in trade negotiations-from the consultation stage to actual negotiations, involving real give-and-take, and includes theoretical comprehension, enhancement of skills and techniques, simulations, case studies and use of data extracted from existing databases.

The target group for the intensive course on trade negotiation skills are officials with good knowledge of the WTO Agreements, who will serve as negotiators for their governments in regional or international trade negotiations.
