Complaint by the European Communities.

On 9 January 1998, the EC requested consultations with Brazil in respect of measures affecting payment terms for imports allegedly introduced by the Central Bank of Brazil. The EC contended that these measures violate Articles 3 and 5 of the Agreement on Import Licensing Procedures.
