Consultations

Complaint by the European Communities.

This request for consultations, dated 18 August 1995, claims that a 1994 agreement reached between the United States and Japan concerning telecommunications equipment is inconsistent with GATT Articles I:1, III:4 and XVII:1(c), and nullifies or impairs benefits accruing to the EC. The United States has joined in the consultations.

Mutually agreed solution

Although there has been no official notification, the case appears to have been settled bilaterally.
