WTO Secretariat at the Climate Change COP28

The WTO Secretariat will help spotlight trade at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November to 12 December. The Secretariat is co-leading with the UAE the first ever "Trade Day" on 4 December at a COP in cooperation with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED). The WTO Secretariat will also host the first Trade House Pavilion with ICC, International Trade Centre (ITC), and UNCTAD. Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will participate in the World Climate Action Summit (WCAS), and COP28 will also see the launch of the WTO Secretariat's "Trade Policy Options for Climate Action".
