The process, from initial research and preparation of the questionnaire to the meeting of the TPRB, takes approximately ten months.

The TPRD also prepares reports and provides support for meetings of the WTO Committee on Balance-of-Payments Restrictions; contributes the chapter on "Developments in Trade Policies" to the WTO Annual Report; and provides briefing notes on countries under review for senior management of the WTO.

The Division, at full strength, consists of a Director, sixteen professional and eleven support staff.
