Guide to the TRIPS Agreement

This Guide to the TRIPS Agreement has been prepared as a background resource for the WTO's technichal assistance on TRIPS. Information is available on the following topics:

Appendices 1 and 2 serve as a guide to TRIPS notifications and related documents. The Annexes contain the full text of the TRIPS Agreement, together with the provisions of the WIPO Conventions, namely, the Paris, Berne, and Rome Conventions, as well as the IPIC Treaty, that have been incorporated into the TRIPS Agreement. The  Annexes also contain the relevant declarations and legal instruments that were adopted subsequent to the TRIPS Agreement coming into effect.
