SCHEDULES OF TARIFF CONCESSIONS TO THE

GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE

In accordance with paragraph 3 of the Decision of 26 March 1980 (BISD 27S/25) on the Procedures for Modification and Rectification of Schedules of Tariff Concessions taken by the CONTRACTING PARTIES, I have the honour to furnish herewith a certified true copy of the Certification of Modifications and Rectifications relating to Schedule XXXII-Austria, done at Geneva on 31 May 1989.

SCHEDULES OF TARIFF CONCESSIONS TO THE

GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE

WHEREAS the CONTRACTING PARTIES adopted, on 26 March 1980, a Decision on Procedures for Modification and Rectification of Schedules of Tariff Concessions;

WHEREAS it is desired, following the results of Article XXVIII negotiations, to modify tariff items Nos. 8470, 8506, 8521, 8527 and 8528 in Schedule XXXII-Austria, annexed to the Second Geneva (1987) Protocol to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade;

WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of the above-mentioned Decision, a draft containing the modifications to Schedule XXXII-Austria was communicated to all contracting parties in document TAR/172 and was approved on 5 April 1989;

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the modifications to Schedule XXXII-Austria are established in conformity with paragraphs 1 and 3 of the above-mentioned Decision and that the attached loose-leaf paqes 495-496, 515-516, 525-526, 529-530 and 531-532 (in English only) reflect the authentic text of this Schedule annexed to the General Agreement.

This Certification is deposited with the Director-General to the CONTRACTING PARTIES, who shall promptly furnish a certified true copy to each contracting party to the General Agreement. It shall be registered in accordance with the provisions of Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.
