COMMITTEE ON TECHNICAL BARRIERS TO TRADE

At its forty-sixth meeting on 2 November 1993, the Committee requested the secretariat to prepare a document which contains a list of agencies responsible for notification in different Parties in order to provide a better understanding of the procedures used in Parties at the national level, especially in cases when agencies other than enquiry points are responsible for preparing and sending notifications to the GATT secretariat.

In order to provide the secretariat with the necessary material to prepare the background document, signatories are invited to forward information to the secretariat before 15 February 1994 on the names of their agencies responsible for notifications under Articles 2 and 7 of the TBT Agreement.
