MARRAKESH AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING

DONE AT MARRAKESH ON 15 APRIL 1994

COMMUNICATION FROM THE UNITED STATES

I have the honour to inform you that on 20 December 1994 I received from the Government of the United States the following communication:

"Please be advised that, in anticipation of the entry into force of the Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization on January 1, 1995, the United States hereby notifies the following specific legislation, which meets the conditions set forth in paragraph 3 (a) of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994:

46 U.S.C. §§ 12108, as amended (Fishery Endorsements for Vessels);

46 App. U.S.C. § 289, as amended (Passenger Vessel Act);

46 App. U.S.C. § 292, as amended (Dredging);

46 App. U.S.C. § 316, as amended (Towing);

46 App. U.S.C. § 883, as amended (Jones Act)."

This notification is furnished in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article XIV of the Agreement.
