CONTRACTING PARTIES

Fifty-First Session

At their Fiftieth Session, the CONTRACTING PARTIES agreed that, given the exceptional circumstances in 1995 with the entry into force of the WTO and the co-existence between the WTO and the GATT 1947, the dates of the Fifty-First Session not be set at that time and that the Chairman of the CONTRACTING PARTIES be authorized to establish the date of the Fifty-First Session subsequently in consultation with delegations and with the Secretariat.

Following such consultations, it is proposed that the Fifty-First Session be held on Tuesday, 12 December 1995.
