SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL DAIRY ARRANGEMENT - NOTIFICATIONS

 

1. PARTICIPANTS IN THE ARRANGEMENT ARE REMINDED THAT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 23 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE, REPLIES TO QUESTIONNAIRES 1 (CERTAIN MILK POWDERS), 2 (MILK FAT) AND 3 (CERTAIN CHEESES) IN RESPECT OF THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1994, SHOULD BE FURNISHED BY 10 JUNE 1994, AT THE LATEST.

2. PARTICIPANTS ARE ALSO REQUESTED TO COMMUNICATE DETAILED INFORMATION ON SALES OF MILK POWDERS UNDER ARTICLE 3:5 OF THE PROTOCOL REGARDING CERTAIN MILK POWDERS AND ON SALES OF CHEESE UNDER ARTICLE 7:2 OF THE PROTOCOL REGARDING CERTAIN CHEESES AND ON SALES OF BUTTER AND BUTTER OIL IN TERMS OF THE DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE PROTOCOL REGARDING MILK FAT (DPC/PTL/32, DPC/PTL/36 AND DPC/PTL/38).

3. PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE NOT YET COMMUNICATED TO THE SECRETARIAT THEIR REPLIES TO QUESTIONNAIRE 4 (PRODUCTS NOT SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE PROTOCOLS), OR THOSE WISHING TO AMEND OR UPDATE THEIR REPLIES, ARE REQUESTED TO DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT PARTICIPANTS SUBMIT INFORMATION ON MILK DELIVERIES FOR THE WHOLE YEAR OF 1993.

4. ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO RULES 23 AND 29 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE. PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE NOT YET  SUBMITTED THE INFORMATION REQUIRED WITH RESPECT TO DAIRY POLICIES ARE URGED TO MAKE COMPLETE NOTIFICATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE INVENTORY ESTABLISHED ON THE BASIS OF REPLIES TO QUESTIONNAIRE 5, AND CIRCULATED IN THE DPC/INV/- SERIES, HAS BEEN DUE FOR COMPLETE REVISION SINCE THE BEGINNING OF 1992, AND THE SECRETARIAT WOULD BE GRATEFUL TO RECEIVE, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION NECESSARY FOR THIS REVISION.

5. PARTICIPANTS ARE ALSO REQUESTED, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 24 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE, TO FURNISH DETAILED INFORMATION REGARDING THEIR FOOD AID IN ORDER TO KEEP UP-TO-DATE THE REQUIRED INFORMATION ON FOOD AID AND TRANSACTIONS OTHER THAN NORMAL COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS IN MAJOR DAIRY PRODUCTS, IN CONFORMITY WITH RULE 30 OF THE RULES OF PROCEDURE.
