Organizada por el Instituto del Banco Asiático de Desarrollo (ADBI) y el Centro de Comercio e Integración Económica (CTEI) en el Instituto Universitario de Altos Estudios Internacionales y del Desarrollo de Ginebra, en colaboración con la Organización Mundial del Comercio.

Antecedentes y objetivos

El objetivo de esta Conferencia — “Futuro del sistema mundial de comercio: Perspectivas asiáticas” — es promover activamente un examen amplio y detallado de los cambios fundamentales del sistema multilateral de comercio desde la perspectiva de Asia, la región en la que el comercio ha influido de forma decisiva en la evolución del desarrollo económico y de los medios de subsistencia de la población en los últimos decenios, y a la que, según las previsiones, en 2050 corresponderá más de la mitad del PIB mundial.

La conferencia tendrá lugar en inglés.
