INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: DECLARATION ON TRADE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS

Information Technology Products

The Declaration on Trade in Information Technology Products provides that participants shall submit documentation on how the appropriate duty treatment will be provided in their schedule of concessions no later than 1 March 1997. Furthermore, the Declaration provides that this documentation will be reviewed and approved no later than 1 April 1997. By this deadline, 25 schedules representing 40 WTO Members (inc. EC-15), or States or separate customs territories in the process of acceding to the WTO, had been reviewed and approved. At this time, the schedules of:
