He is a member of the Senegalese Academy of Sciences and Technology and the founder and the President of the Board of the Manobi Development Foundation. He is experienced in information and communication technology (ICT), and agricultural and agro-industrial development. He was a plant scientist for 18 years, specializing in the improvement of agricultural production in arid and semi-arid areas, and in the development of models to predict yields and production. During these years, he mainly worked in development aid as a researcher and agricultural developer in African, European and South American countries.
