Small producers, small enterprises and their workers, often find themselves in a weak position to negotiate a fair price for their products within global value chains, and therefore, they capture only a small part of the value they create. This session seeks ways of encouraging international cooperation among producers and actors along the entire supply chain aiming at promoting a fair price for products and decent work for workers. Action to increase small producers' and their workers' bargaining power in value chains together with respect of core labour standards would increase the welfare of workers and suppliers in value chains.
