WTO PUBLIC FORUM 2018

Call for Proposals

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS IS NOW CLOSED

The theme for this year's Public Forum is "Trade 2030" and the three sub-themes will be sustainable trade, technology-enabled trade, and a more inclusive trading system.

For more detailed information about the theme, please consult the Public Forum webpage: www.wto.org/pf18.

Working sessions or workshops

Organisers can choose between working sessions or workshops.

  • Working sessions are composed of no more than 5 panellists (including the moderator) introducing the issue and offering their point of view to the audience. The moderator will engage the participants in an open discussion. Interpretation in the official WTO languages (English, French and/or Spanish) will be available for these sessions on a first come first served basis.
  • Workshops take the form of informal brainstorming discussions focusing on particular issues related to the Forum's overall theme or sub-themes. There will be no interpretation to allow for better interaction.

Selection process

Working sessions or workshops at the Public Forum are organised by participants. The WTO is responsible for the selection process. To qualify for selection, your organisation needs to complete the application form (word format) and return it by e-mail to [email protected]. The deadline for receipt of applications is 15 June 2018. After this date, applications will no longer be considered. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to late applications.

Please note that the number of available slots is limited. Allocation of slots will be based on creativity, balance between perspectives of the different panellists, and relevance to the theme and sub-themes.
