After careful consideration of COVID-19 related uncertainties and health concerns, the WTO has decided to cancel this year’s WTO Public Forum, scheduled for 29 September to 2 October.

Theme

This year the WTO commemorates its 25th anniversary. Under the theme "Building on 25 Years of the WTO", the 2020 Public Forum will look at the WTO's contribution to global growth and development through its oversight of a transparent, stable and predictable trading system.

Background

The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event. It provides a unique platform for heads of states, parliamentarians, business people, students, academics and civil society to come together and debate a wide range of trade and development topics. Over 1,500 participants attend the Forum each year. See more information on previous Public Fora.
