Call for proposals

The 2024 Public Forum will explore how re-globalization can make trade more inclusive, ensuring that the benefits of trade reach more people. It will further examine the role of digitalisation, services and sustainability in supporting this objective.

Applications

Proposals for Public Forum sessions can only be submitted online using this form. To access the form, you will need an account to log on to the WTO website. If you do not already have an account, please create one here.

The deadline for submission of applications is 23:59 (CET) on 14 June 2024. Any application submitted after this time will not be considered.

General information

  • Sessions must be composed of no more than 5 speakers (including the moderator)
  • Sessions must be conducted in an official language (English, French or Spanish) of the WTO 
  • The WTO will only consider panels that are diverse and balanced, including with regard to gender, geography and perspective

Selection process

The WTO is responsible for the selection process. To qualify for selection, your organisation needs to complete the online application form by 14 June 2024. Please note that the number of available slots is limited. Selection will be based on creativity, relevance of the topic, and diversity of the panellists.

The selection process will be finalised by mid-July.

Format

The Public Forum will be held in person at the WTO premises in Geneva. Participation costs are not covered by the WTO.
