DSB adopts HFCS report
The DSB, on 24 February, adopted a panel report on the US complaint against Mexico's anti-dumping measures on high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) from the US.
Two new panel requests were presented for the first time, which are expected to be considered again at the next meeting:
- Japan's complaint against US anti-dumping measures on certain hot-rolled steel products from Japan, and
- Brazil's complaint against Argentina's transitional safeguard measures on certain imports of woven fabrics and cotton mixtures originating in Brazil.
Implementation reports were given by the EC on its banana regime and by Japan on agricultural products. Korea said it would shortly request a panel to review the US implementation of the DRAMS reports. The DSB elected Mr. Stuart Harbinson (Hong Kong, China) as its new Chairperson.
