This summary has been prepared by the WTO Secretariat’s Information and Media Relations Division to help public understanding about developments in WTO disputes. It is not a legal interpretation of the issues, and it is not intended as a complete account of the issues. These can be found in the reports themselves and in the minutes of the Dispute Settlement Body’s meetings.

At its meeting on 21 November 2003, the Dispute Settlement Body established a panel to examine Thailand's complaint against the European Communities' customs classification of boneless chicken cuts (WT/DS286/5). The parties also agreed that this complaint by Thailand be referred to the panel already established by the DSB on 7 November 2003 to examine Brazil's complaint against the EU regarding the same matter (WT/DS269/3). The following members reserved their third-party rights to cover both the disputes: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Thailand, and the United States.
