For the first time, four eTraining courses for government officials from developing countries will run in parallel:
Introduction to the WTO
Technical Barriers to Trade in the WTO
Trade Remedies and the WTO
Agriculture in the WTO
Starting on 12 February 2007, the eTraining Winter Term for government
officials from developing countries will run until 30 March, reaching out to
more than 500 participants from all over the world. The four courses will be
held in English. Subsequent terms will offer courses in Spanish and French
and the programme will be continuously enhanced to cover further topics.
The new eTraining platform features the latest web-based multimedia
technologies to deliver interactive courses on the WTO and its Agreements.
Its objective is to bridge distances and provide high quality
capacity-building to officials from developing countries, creating a
knowledge base that can be further enhanced by advanced face-to-face
seminars. Participants will have access to online materials, discussion
forum, internal email system and the opportunity to chat live with WTO
experts.
