WTO TRAINING COURSES

The aim of the courses is to provide online training on matters related to international trade and WTO agreements to government officials from developing countries and LDCS. The estimated average study time per course is from 50 to 60 hours. 

Participants can now start their course at any time during the year and enjoy access for a three-month period. During this time they will be free to go at the pace that suits them best. Trainers from the WTO will monitor online participants' progress throughout the course.

Registration in monitored online courses with WTO certification will remain open throughout the year at https://etraining.wto.org.

The WTO E-Learning material is freely available on the WTO E-Learning website at https://etraining.wto.org.  

The following courses will be available in English, French and Spanish in 2011:

  • Introduction to the WTO — Basic level
  • Technical Barriers to Trade in the WTO — intermediate level
  • Trade Remedies and the WTO — intermediate level
  • Agriculture in the WTO — intermediate level
  • Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights — intermediate level
  • Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures — intermediate level
  • Trade and Services in the WTO — intermediate level
  • Market Access for Trade in Goods — intermediate level (English only)
  • The Multilateral Trade Agreements and the WTO — intermediate level

During the courses, live chat sessions and discussion forums are organized on various WTO issues with experts and representatives from the WTO.

Participants who successfully complete the elements of the course will be given a certificate signed by the WTO Director-General. Participants with outstanding results will receive a Certificate with Distinction.
