The WTO launched the video contest in June 2011, inviting the public to share their answers to global trade challenges. The WTO received many excellent video submissions from all over the world, addressing the main topics at this year's Forum:

  • Food security
  • Trade in natural resources
  • Made in the World and value-added trade
  • What next for the trading system?

A “Most Popular Video”, selected by viewers of WTO social media platforms, was awarded to Lautaro M. Ramirez from Argentina for his video “Seeking Answers to Global Trade Challenges”. In his video, Lautaro discusses the world of preferential trade agreements and their relationship with the WTO.

Other shortlisted videos, submitted by Jim Paparo (Australia), Cian Carlo Miranda (Philippines) and Jaya Devi Ramlall (Trinidad and Tobago), can also be viewed on the WTO YouTube Channel.

Congratulations to the winners and finalists! And thanks to all those who submitted a video, as well as to those who watched the videos and voted for their favourites!
