The Director-General said:

“I worked closely with Professor Jackson on several occasions and I came away from the experience with the highest admiration and respect for him both as a professional and as a human being. He was one of the great scholars of international trade law, and the multilateral trading system was greatly improved by his insight and expertise. He will be sorely missed by the whole trade community.”
