WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo took part in an event entitled “Making Trade More Inclusive” at the Graduate Institute in Geneva on 28 February 2017 alongside the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders and the International Labour Organization Director-General Guy Ryder. DG Azevêdo underlined that while trade promotes growth and development through job creation, its benefits must be spread more widely.

The event was organized by the Graduate Institute’s Centre for Trade and Economic Integration  and the Permanent Mission of Belgium to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.
