WTO PUBLIC FORUM 2017

Just nine days are left to register to attend this year’s WTO Public Forum. Participants interested in attending this year’s Forum should submit an online application form no later than 12 September 2017. Last minute and onsite registrations will not be accepted.

The 2017 Public Forum, entitled “Trade: Behind the Headlines”, will be held at the WTO headquarters in Geneva from 26 to 28 September. For more information, please visit the Public Forum webpage www.wto.org/pf17

Participation at the Forum is free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs are to be borne by participants. For nationals of least-developed countries, the Geneva Welcome Centre (CAGI) provides support to individuals requiring a grant for accommodation during the Public Forum. Please follow the link to verify your eligibility and consult the procedure to be followed in order to apply for a grant.

Background

The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event. It provides a unique platform for heads of states, parliamentarians, leading global business people, students, academics and non-governmental organizations to come together and debate on a wide range of WTO issues and on some of the major trade and development topics of the day. Over 1,500 participants attend the Forum each year.
