WTO PUBLIC FORUM 2019

More

The contest is open to people under the age of 35 who are interested in trade or who work within an organization or business engaged in international trade. The videos should show why youth can be considered a force for good in the multilateral trading system and how young leaders and entrepreneurs are making a positive social or environmental impact through international trade.

The winner of the contest will be invited to Geneva to attend the Public Forum, where their work will be showcased. The full guidelines for the video contest are available here.

Background

The Public Forum is the WTO’s largest annual outreach event. It provides a unique platform for policy makers and representatives of government, business, workers, consumers, academics, civil society and others to come together and debate on a wide range of WTO issues and on some of the major trade and development topics of the day. Over 1,500 participants attend the Forum each year. The theme of this year's Public Forum is “Trading Forward: Adapting to a Changing World”. For the first time, one of the Forum's subthemes is focusing on youth: "The Next Generation — what do Millennials & Gen Z want to see from global trade".
