The course comprised a series of sessions and practical exercises related to the implementation of the WTO's rules and procedures for RTAs. In addition, it provided participants with the opportunity to attend a meeting of the CRTA and to learn about its functioning, rules and procedures as well as the importance of notifications and transparency in the Committee's activities. 

The course allowed participants ample opportunity to discuss their experiences regarding RTAs and related issues. In a dedicated session, four participants from regional secretariats shared their experiences of assisting in the implementation of RTAs.

The course is classified as "level 3", the highest level of training activity implemented within the WTO's progressive learning framework. Due to its advanced nature, the course encourages the active involvement of participants and addresses key issues relating to RTAs, such as transparency and compliance with existing WTO rules.
