“It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. For seventy years, she was a figure of strength, service, and duty — a constant even as the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the world changed in ways that could scarcely have been imagined at her coronation. My thoughts and prayers are with the royal family, and on behalf of the WTO secretariat,  I send my deepest sympathies to the people and governments of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.”
