WTO PUBLIC FORUM 2022

More

The Public Forum will look at how trade can contribute to post-pandemic economic recovery, examining, in particular, how trade rules can be strengthened and government policies improved to create a more resilient, sustainable and inclusive trading system. The Forum's sub-themes are “Leveraging technology for an inclusive recovery”, “Delivering a trade agenda for a sustainable future” and “Framing the future of trade”. More information on this year's theme can be found here.

The Forum will also feature a Face-to-Face chat between Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and CNN news anchor Richard Quest, giving participants the opportunity to witness a candid exchange on the global economy and the challenges facing global trade. Several interactive activities will be organised throughout the Forum, and participants will have the chance to explore various exhibitions that shed light on the role of international trade in achieving environmental sustainability.

The full programme is available here.

The Forum is an in-person event held at the WTO's headquarters in Geneva. For those unable to attend, livestreaming of many sessions will be available on the WTO website.
