What is the course about?

The WTO Training Course on Trade and Gender conducted in English, will assist participants in improving their knowledge of the trade and gender nexus and the role of the WTO on this issue. At the end of the course, participants will be able to utilize trade and gender concepts and tools in the analysis and development of trade policies.

The programme is built around lectures, discussions, group exercises and interactive brainstorming in eight live training sessions over four days. The course forms part of the WTO's 2022-2023 Biennial Technical Assistance and Training Plan.

How to apply?

A call for participation, an application form, and an invitation letter have been circulated to all eligible beneficiaries of trade-related technical assistance through their Permanent Mission to the WTO. Government officials from WTO members eligible to benefit from WTO training activities are invited to apply by 15 March 2023.  Each candidate will have to submit to their Permanent Mission a motivation letter and an endorsement letter by their authority/agency/ministry as well as an application form. A maximum of 25 participants will be selected. Selected participants will be invited to a one-hour online information session to be held in April.
