WTO Secretariat announces appointment of a Spanish speaking press officer at the WTO

The Information and Media Relations Division of the World Trade Organization today announced the appointment of Mr. Josep Bosch as a new Spanish-speaking Press Officer.

In announcing Mr. Bosch's appointment, WTO spokesman Keith Rockwell said: “I am very pleased to welcome a media professional of Josep Bosch's standing to the WTO team. There are more than 400 million Spanish speaking people among the countries of the WTO and our intention is to improve the dialogue with them for a better understanding of the multilateral trading system”.

Mr. Bosch has had a wide-ranging career in journalism specially in the fields of international trade and economic news. He has been working for several Spanish newspapers and since 1979 at Agencia Efe, Spain's International News Agency, as a correspondent in London and as bureau chief in Beijing, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Geneva.

Mr. Bosch is a Spanish national and is married with two children.
