Finland donated to the WTO Doha Development Agenda Global Trust Fund EUR
500,000 (CHF 785,000). This contribution will be used to finance
activities contained in the WTO Annual Technical Assistance Plans
targeted at the needs of least-developed countries.
“I am extremely grateful to Finland for financing WTO technical
assistance activities,” said WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy.
With a total contribution of CHF 4.3 million since 2001, Finland is the
eighth biggest voluntary contributor to WTO's technical assistance and
training activities in the context of the Doha Development Agenda.
The Doha Development Agenda Global Trust Fund finances activities which
aim to enhance developing countries’ participation in the WTO
negotiations.
