Director-General Roberto Azevêdo said: “Ensuring that least-developed countries can effectively participate in ministerial conferences is fundamental to building an inclusive trading system where all voices are heard and the benefits of trade can be more widely shared. Switzerland's Ambassador, Didier Chambovey, said: “Switzerland is committed to an inclusive and fully representative Multilateral Trading System. We are pleased to contribute towards ensuring the participation of LDCs in the upcoming WTO Ministerial Conference in Buenos Aires.”

Switzerland is the second WTO member to donate to the MC11 LDCs Fund this year and has contributed over CHF 5.6 million to WTO trust funds in 15 years.
