Mr Steve Charnovitz teaches at George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC and writes on international trade, international law, U.S. foreign relations law, and environmental sustainability.  Prior to joining GWU, he was in private practice at WilmerHale and had a 20 year career on international trade issues in the U.S. Congress and in the Executive Branch.  He serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of International Economic Law, the World Trade ReviewCosmopolis. A Review of Cosmopolitics, and the Journal of Environment & Development. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Law Institute.   He is the author, co-author, or co-editor of four books and over 220 articles, essays, or book reviews.
