Consultations

Complaint by the European Union

On 26 July 2024, the European Union requested consultations with Chinese Taipei with respect to a measure relating to local content requirements in investments in offshore wind installations.

The European Union claimed that the challenged measure appears to be inconsistent with:

  • Article III:4 of the GATT 1994;
     
  • Article 2.1 of the TRIMS Agreement; and
     
  • Article XVII of the GATS.
