Leadership Dialogue: Making Trade Work for the Environment, Prosperity and Resilience, 2 October 2018

The WTO and UN Environment are organizing, as part of the WTO Public Forum, a Leadership Dialogue entitled “Making Trade Work for the Environment, Prosperity and Resilience” on 2 October 2018.

A number of related activities will take place, including:

  • a high-level event from 15:30 to 17:00 at the WTO, bringing together WTO Director General Roberto Azevêdo , UN Environment Executive Director Erik Solheim and several business and government leaders
  • the launch of the UN Environment-WTO co-publication “Making Trade Work for the Environment, Prosperity and Resilience”
  • a sustainability exhibition organized with key partners (WIPO GREEN, Solar Impulse Foundation and Climate Show) showcasing innovative and sustainable technological solutions that can contribute to the economic shift towards greener, more circular and inclusive economies — the exhibition will run throughout the Public Forum (2-4 October)
  • several other events on sustainable trade that will be held as part of the WTO Public Forum.
