When the CONTRACTING PARTIES agreed that the Forty-Sixth Session would be held in the week of 5 November 1990, this was done "bearing in mind the possibility for the Chairman of the CONTRACTING PARTIES, in consultation with delegations, to fix the dates and the duration of the Session with greater precision in the course of 1990, and even to modify the dates if circumstances made this desirable". Having consulted with delegations in this regard, I wish to inform contracting parties that the Forty-Sixth Session of the CONTRACTING PARTIES will be held in the Centre William Rappard on 12-13 December 1990.
