WTO TRAINING COURSES

MORE:

In addition to covering the provisions of the TBT Agreement (and related Agreements) and the functions/procedures of the TBT Committee in a comprehensive manner, this interactive course will also serve as a forum to share national experiences on implementation issues.  In particular, each participant, with the guidance of coaches, will elaborate an action plan to address a specific TBT-related implementation challenge they have identified in their country.

The goal of the course is to encourage individuals to take a leadership role in making a difference in their countries, despite various institutional and/or resource constraints they may face.  As a follow-up, participants will be expected to report back periodically on the implementation of their action plans.

The course represents the highest level of training within the WTO's progressive learning framework.  The course programme features resource persons from various divisions of the WTO Secretariat as well as invited speakers from Member governments and other organizations.

The programme overview indicates the topics that will be covered during the course.
