ACCESSIONS

Lao People’s Democratic Republic

The Lao People's Democratic Republic's Working Party was established on 19 February 1998. The Memorandum on the Foreign Trade Regime was circulated in March 2001. Bilateral market access negotiations have begun on the basis of an initial offer on goods. The second meeting of the Working Party was held in November 2006 to continue the examination of Lao's foreign trade regime.

Laos is officially the “Lao People’s Democratic Republic” or “Lao PDR”, but familiarly “Laos”.
